Angelus ad pastores ait:

annuncio vobis gaudium magnum:

quia natus est vobis hodie salvator mundi.

Alleluja.

Gloria in excelsis Deo

et in terra pax hominibus bonæ voluntatis

English translation

The angel says to the shepherds:

I bring you tidings of great joy

For unto you is born today the Saviour of the world.

Alleluia.

Glory to God in the highest,

and in earth peace, goodwill towards men.
