ChoralWiki:Brian Russell dies unexpectedly

It is with great sadness that we have learned from Julie Strozyk and must report the untimely death last Sunday of Brian Russell, a longtime regular contributor to CPDL. Brian's Music Page website contains over 700 Renaissance madrigal scores which he graciously shared with CPDL. His rationale is best expressed by the opening words of his website:

What you'll find here is the music I love: mostly madrigals (primarily English, but also Italian and German), earlier Italian frottola, French chansons and Spanish villancico and Renaissance sacred music. What holds it all together? They're all from the Renaissance, and all use the same theoretical considerations...

For more information and responses to Brian's passing, see the Bulletin board topic about Brian's death.
