et filius datus est nobis :
cujus imperium
super humerum ejus :
et vocabitur nomen ejus,
magni consilii Angelus.
French translation
[Un enfant nous est né,]
un fils nous est donné ;
l'insigne de son pouvoir
est sur son épaule
et on lui donnera pour nom :
Ange du grand conseil.
English translation
[Unto us a child is born,]
And unto us a son is given
and the govornment shall be upon his shoulders
and his name shall be called
mighty councilor of angels.
