Description: “In Nativitate Domini in aurora sequentia” transcribed from the Trent manuscript tr93. The time signature and the notes' values are as in the manuscript. The traditional melody (Graduale Pataviense c. 195r) is paraphrased at the Superius. The missing Contra part in the 3rd verse has been derived from the Superius using the “faulxbourdon” technique. The notes' values within the "ligaturæ" are as follows: the left upstemmed notes are semibreves - the unstemmed note is a brevis - the right downstemmed note is a longa. The "musica ficta" suggestions are in the MIDI and MusicXML files.

Eya recolamus laudibus piis digna.
Huius diei carmina in qua nobis lux oritur gratissima.

(Noctis interit nebula pereunt nostri criminis umbracula.)

Hodie saeculo maris stella (est) enixa novae salutis gaudia

(Quem tremunt baratra mors cruenta pavet ipsa a quo peribit mortua.)

Gemit capta pestis antiqua coluber lividus perdit spolia.

(Homo lapsus ovis abducta revocatur ad superna gaudia.)

(Induitur natura divinitas humana quis audivit talia die rogo facta.
Querere venerat pastor pius quod perierat.
Induit galeam certat ut miles armatura.
Sublatus in sua propria ruit hostis spicula auferuntur tela
In quibus fidebat divisa sunt illius spolia capta preda sua.
Christi pugna fortissima salus vera est nostra.
Qui nos suam ad patriam duxit post victoriam.
In qua laus sibi est eterna.)
