No documentation on {{pcat| | }} template.

Specifically I need to know how to specify lieder:

{{pcat|Lied|Lieder}}
{{pcat|Lieder|Lieder}}
{{pcat|Lieder|s}}
{{pcat|Lieder| }}

All of these end up RED Johnhenryfowler 06:24, 31 July 2008 (PDT)

Hi John, pcat stands for "plural category" and its use is in fact tricky: the first parameter is the category name in the singular form, and the second parameter is just the suffix that makes that name plural (usually "s" or "es"). So, in your example we'd have:
{{pcat|Lied|er}} (sg. Lied -> pl. Lieder)
The category name will be that resulting from the concatenation of both parameters: Lied+er = Category:Lieder

John, only now did I see that Template:Pcat does have a very comprehensive documentation; were you looking in the right place? Regards, —Carlos Email.gif 07:31, 31 July 2008 (PDT)

I went to: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Help:Contents where I found: 9: Where can I find a list of templates used on CPDL? which brings me to: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Help:CPDL_Templates where thereis no mention of "pcap". Perhaps it would be could to mention in the Template Help file that you can find out the syntax of a template by typing: "http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Template:xxx" where xxx is the template name. John, you were looking in the right place, it just happens that the Help pages are in need of being brought up-to-date with the new developments that have been done to templates. Your suggestion may be used as a workaround, but I agree that it would be better if we had all template documentation in just one place. Will see what I can do. —Carlos Email.gif 15:27, 31 July 2008 (PDT)

"filepath" help

I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with the midi link here: there doesn't seem to be a template:filepath, and if filepath is something other than a template, this kind of search isn't very illuminating. File:Lasso tuttolodi.mid seems to be the intended target, though there's also File:Lasso Tuttolodi8.mid. Richard Mix (talk) 05:01, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi Richard, filepath: isn't indeed a template, but a built-in function of the MediaWiki. The midi wasn't linked to because of a typo: Gerd uploaded the three files spelled tutolodi and then re-uploaded only the pdf and capx files as tuttolodi. I have renamed the midi file to correct this. —Carlos (talk) 14:18, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
