- Edition notes: The alto part is printed in the alto clef in the source. The only indications of the text in the source are the heading 'Ps. 13th.', the opening words 'How long wilt thou &c.' and the opening of the last line under the bass part, 'Oh never never': in the present edition, the full text has been underlaid editorially. The note on the second half of the second beat of bar 13 in the treble part, shown here as a crotchet C, is printed as a quaver in the source, beamed together with the preceding two quavers (resulting in that bar being one quaver short in the treble part only): the parallel tenor and bass parts are printed correctly. The alto F semibreve on beats 1 and 2 of bar 5 is marked with a flat in the source, which has been editorially understood as a natural.
