Latin.png Latin text

Si quaeris miracula,
Mors, error calamitas,
Daemon, lepra fugiunt,
Aegri surgunt sani.

Ant: Cedunt mare, vincula:
Membra resque, perditas
Petunt et accipiunt
Iuvenes et cani.

Pereunt pericula,
cessat et necessitas:
narrent hi qui sentiunt,
dicant paduani

Cedunt mare…

Gloria Patri et Filio,
et Spiritui Sancto.

Membra resque…

English.png English translation

If, then, thou seekest miracles,
Death, error, all calamities,
The leprosy and demons flee,
The sick, by him made whole, arise.

Ant: The sea withdraws and fetters break,
And withered limbs he doth restore,
While treasures lost are found again,
When young or old his help implore.

Risks disappear,
Necessity is no more:
Those who feel are told
the opinion of the Paduans.(??)

The sea withdraws…

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Ghost.

And withered limbs…

Dutch.png Dutch translation

Als je om wonderen verzoekt,
Dan verdwijnen dood, dwaling,
rampspoed, duivel en melaatsheid.
Zieken staan gezond weer op.

Ant: Vloed en boeien wijken.
Jong en oud vragen, en krijgen
hun toebehoren en
verloren zaken terug.

Gevaren lossen op, nood wijkt.
Laat degenen maar vertellen
die het meegemaakt hebben:
die van Padua bijvoorbeeld!

Vloed en boeien...

Eer aan de Vader en de Zoon
En de Heilige Geest.

Jong en oud...
