Split?

I don't think it's a good idea. There is a single entry at the external site, and both motets share a single edition (and file). I made changes to the title, do you think that it solves the problem? —Carlos Email.gif 01:39, 26 March 2012 (CDT)

I made an edition of Timete and Justorum in Sibelius. Would it be okay to make two new pages and include Hoessl's edition in each? Brian Marble (talk) 23:22, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi Brian. Could you please explain why you think they should be on separate pages? That will make sense if the motets were composed for different events and put together on a later occasion; on the other side, it they were composed together, I think it would be better to keep them on a single page as it is now. —Carlos (talk) Email.gif 12:52, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

No strong reason - I could just add my editions to the existing page. Thanks! Brian Marble (talk) 14:27, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

The two ways of doing this seem equally acceptable: we have Missa Dedicationis Ecclesiæ - Proprium (Anonymous), and we have Isaac's proprium split up for Advent II (nor do we offer Byrd's Graduale in clumps, except through the sacred music by season categories). The added incipits may not be part of Führer's original title, but they do are more informative than the generic title: thanks! Nevertheless I incline to the side in favor of splitting. I'm pretty neutral about this, whatever you decide is fine by me! The only issue I see with splitting is that Manfred Hößl's edition will have to be duplicated on both [new] pages. —Carlos (talk) Email.gif 02:15, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Sorry for splitting hairs: Perhaps Hößl's source was published together or merely bound together. I got interested in the topic when I found these pieces only by way of the text page. I thought it ought to be found by way of the page for All Saints. Brian Marble (talk) 17:39, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
