What for does "NV" stands? "New Version" (of the work page)? Because "Psalm 1", from same composer/editor, is waiting to be deleted?

'NV' stands for 'New Version': it's a reference to the text set here, which is 'To God, our never-failing strength', the version of Psalm 81 given in Nahum Tate and Nicholas Brady's metrical psalter, which was titled A New Version of the Psalms of David (because at that time it was first published, the metrical psalter generally used in the Church of England was the one largely consisting of the work of Thomas Sternhold and John Hopkins).
Tate and Brady's metrical psalter became generally known as 'the New Version', or 'NV' for short, while Sternhold and Hopkins' became known as 'the Old Version', or 'OV' for short. In the case of Psalm 81, the OV text was by John Hopkins: both OV and NV texts are given on the Psalm 81 page. EJG (talk) 17:25, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
