I cant find this text with the usual search engines. Anyone know what it's from? Richard Mix 23:42, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

It seems to be a paraphrase of a couple of verses of Psalm 119, and I've included this on the page. By the way, thanks for your move of the Palestrina Pater noster a8 to the new page. I should have thought beforehand! Edward Tambling 08:10, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! As I am learning, this seems a big subject. A few more variants of v133:
  • Psalterium Romanum: gressus meos dirige secundum eloquium tuum ut non dominetur mei omnis iniustitia
  • Psalterium Gallicanum & Nova Vulgata: Gressus meos dirige secundum eloquium tuum, et non dominetur mei omnis injustitia.
  • BIBLIA SACRA VULGATA: gressus meos firma in sermone tuo et non des potestatem in me universae iniquitati
  • Psalterium Mozarabicum: gressus meos dirige secundum eloquium tuum ut non dominetur mici omnis iniustitia

It's not really a subject about which I know much, embarrassingly, as I studied Latin (and Greek) to A level at school, and still do the odd bit of prose/verse composition. I suppose we have to presume that this is either from a version of the psalter that is no longer in use/exists, or that it was the composer's own interpretation of a familiar text. I suppose we shall never know! Edward Tambling 09:59, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
