Description: Melody (Tenor) from Genevan Psalter, 1560. Harmonized by John Dowland in 1621 and by an anonymous arranger in the Scottish Psalter of 1635. Words by William Kethe, 1561, paraphrase of Psalm 100, in four stanzas. "Kethe's version of Ps. C was doubtless written for this tune" (Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology, 1907). See Praise God from whom all blessings flow (Louis Bourgeois), All people that on earth do dwell (John Dowland), and Old hundredth for other words and other harmonizations for this tune.
