Died: Einsiedeln, Switzerland, 14 March 1888

Biography

Anselm (Josef Aloys) Schubiger von Uznach was a benedictine priest and kapellmeister in Einsiedeln Monastery. From 1839 until 1842 he taught at the monastery school and was at the same time assistant kapellmeister. From 1842 to 1859 (with interruptions) he was kapellmeister of the monastery. On the 1st of September 1846 he came to Bellenz, where he worked until the 24th of December 1847. In 1854/55 and again in 1858/59 he was appointed catechist in Trachslau. From 1863 until 1876 he taught the history of the order to novitiates.
