Description: A troped Ave Maria transcribed from the Trent manuscripts tr87. The time signatures, notes' values and colourings are as in the manuscript. The initial time signature is missing, the “tempus imperfectum, prolatio maior” has been assumed from the context. The coloured notes are “hemiolæ”, the perfect notes and rests have been dotted and ties have been used for the notes’ values that cannot be exactly represented. The notes' values within the "ligaturæ" are as follows: the left upstemmed notes are semibreves - the unstemmed notes are breves - the right downstemmed notes are longæ. The "musica ficta" suggestions are in the MIDI and MusicXML files.

SUPERIUS I
Ave Maria gratia plena Dominus tecum
Et tua gratia sit mecum
gloria mulierum, gemma virginum
stella sacerdotum, rosa martyrum
domina apostolorum, regina angelorum
Iocunditas celorum, Iesu dei mater.
Amen.

SUPERIUS II
Ave Maria gratia plena
ego peccator suspiro ad te
inclinans ad te intercede pro me
ad dilectissimum filium tuum
ut mundet me a peccatis, liberet me a poenis
ut salvet me in cælis, ut vivam cum beatis.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus
et benedictus Iesus
dulcissimus fructus ventris tui.
Amen
