Original text and translations

Clementine Vulgate (Psalm 127)

Latin.png Latin text

1  Canticum graduum. Beati omnes qui timent Dominum, qui ambulant in viis ejus.
2  Labores manuum tuarum quia manducabis: beatus es, et bene tibi erit.
3  Uxor tua sicut vitis abundans in lateribus domus tuae;
  filii tui sicut novellae olivarum in circuitu mensae tuae.
4  Ecce sic benedicetur homo qui timet Dominum.
5  Benedicat tibi Dominus ex Sion, et videas bona Jerusalem
omnibus diebus vitae tuae.
6  Et videas filios filiorum tuorum: pacem super Israël.

English.png English text

1  Blessed are all those who fear the Lord: who walk in his ways.
2  The labours of your hands, of those shall you eat: you are blessed, and it will be well with you.
3  Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within the walls of your house:
  your sons like new olive branches around your table.
4  Behold, in this way there shall be blessings for the man who fears the Lord.
5  May the Lord send you blessings from out of Sion: and may you see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6  And may you see your children’s children: peace be upon Israel.
