Some thoughts...

I think two major improvements would be subdividing some categories and tidying up others.

As an example of the first, the category 'Chant' is already unwieldy to browse, but contains at least two different types of chant: Gregorian and Ambrosian. Subdividing the category fairly basically would make it a lot easier to navigate. I don't know if this is possible with the software in use, though!

Some categories do need a good clean out. 'Anthems' is a case in point; you don't even need to move off the first page to see huge numbers of canticles, psalms, hymns, mass parts, BCP responses... you name it, it's probably in there.

If the categories are going to be of any use at all in browsing the site they do need to mean something and have a reasonable chance of containing the kind of music being looked for. Otherwise what is the point in having them, after all?

I've a few other instant thoughts, but want to give them a bit more consideration... I'm sure there are other categories, though, that would benefit from a good tidy or a subdivide.
