Latin.png Latin text

Exultet orbis gaudiis,
cælum resultet laudibus:
apostolorum gloriam
tellus et astra concinunt.

Præcepta quorum protinus
languor salusque sentiunt,
sanate mentes languida,
augete nos virtutibus.

Patri simulque Filio
tibique Sancte Spiritus,
sicut fuit, sit jugiter
sæclum per omne gloria.
Amen.

English.png English translation

Let the round world with songs rejoice;
Let Heaven return the joyful voice;
All mindful of th’Apostles’ fame,
Let Heav’n and earth their praise proclaim.

For at Thy will they preached the Word
Which cured disease, which health conferred:
O may that healing power once more
Our souls to grace and health restore.

To Thee, O Father; Son, to Thee;
To Thee, blest Spirit, glory be!
So was it ay for ages past,
So shall through endless ages last.
Amen.

Dutch.png Dutch translation

Op 't aardrijk klinke een vreugdetoon
een lofzang galme in 's hemels woon;
de glorie der apostelschaar
zingt aarde en sterrenheir te gaar.

De ziekte wijkt, gezondheid keert,
zodra dit door u wordt begeerd,
geneest nu ook ons krank gemoed
en schenkt dr deugden overvloed.

Aan u Vader, en ook de Zoon,
en met u de Heilige Geest,
zoals het was, zij alle glorie
in eeuwigheid.
Amen.
