Biography Blinded in childhood by smallpox, Francesco is recorded as organist at Santa Trinità Florence in 1361 and cappellanus at the church of S Lorenzo from 1365 until his death. Dates can also be pinpointed for two organ building projects in which he participated, SS Annunziata (1379) and the Cathedral of Florence (1387).
