Latin.png Latin text

Fundamenta tenet mundi concordia,
vinclum hoc aufer coelum corruet atque solum:
Sic nisi conjugibus nectat concordia mentes,
nulla salus thalamo, nulla futura domo.

Pax ergo vestras circumcirca ambiat aedes,
o sponsi, et rixas arceat inde procul,
Suaviter ut socio vivit cum turture turtur,
vivatis placidos, et sine lite dies.

English.png English translation

Harmony is the foundation of the world:
remove this bond and the heavens will fall and the solid ground give way:
so unless the minds of the spouses are joined in harmony
the marriage bed will not be blessed; the home will have no future.
