Original text and translations

Latin.png Latin text

Gaudeamus omnes in Domino diem festum celebrantes,
quia surrexit Dominus.
Alleluja.
Angelus Domini descendit de coelo
et accedens revolvit lapidem et sedit super eum
et dixit mulieribus:
Nolite timere, scio enim quod Jesum quaeritis,
jam surrexit, venite et videte locum
ubi positus erat Dominus.
Alleluja.

English.png English translation

Let us all rejoice in the Lord as we celebrate this feast day
on which the Lord arose.
Alleluia.

Translations of the rest of the text, used as a Matins responsory, can be found at Angelus Domini descendit.
