English.png English text

1  Go crystal tears, like to the morning showers,
And sweetly weep into thy lady's breast.
And as the dews revive the drooping flow'rs.
So let your drops of pity be address'd
To quicken up the thoughts of my desert,
Which sleeps too sound whilst I from her depart.

2  Haste, restless sighs, and let your burning breath
Dissolve the ice of her indurate heart,
Whose frozen rigour, like forgetful Death,
Feels never any touch of my desert,
Yet sighs and tears to her I sacrifice
Both from a spotless heart and patient eyes.

by Stanisław Jonczyk
1  Płyńcie, łzy kryształowe, jak deszczu kropelki,
I na damy piersi słodko spływajcie.
Jak rosa ożywia przywiędły kwiat wszelki,
Tak swe żałości krople temu poświęcajcie,
Zbyt smaczne śpiącym, gdym w oddaleniu.

2  Gorączkowy oddech, co jak ogień bucha,
Rozgrzeje w jej sercu mróz nieczułości,
Które surowe, zimne jak kostucha,
Nie zazna dotyku mej niepewności.
A jednak, westchnienia me i łzy jej poświęcam,
Z oczu niestrudzonych i z czystego serca.

2  Zuchten vol onrust, iedere ademtocht vol vuur
