Original text and translations

Hail, glorious angels, heirs of light,
ye high-born sons of fire,
whose souls burn chaste, whose flames shine bright:
all joy, yet all desire.

Hail, all ye happy sp'rits above,
who make that glorious ring
about th'eternal throne of love,
and there forever sing:

All glory to the sacred Three,
one ever-living Lord;
as at the first, alway to be
belov'd, obey'd, ador'd.
