Van herten also fijn.
In alle deze landen,
En mach gheen schoonder zijn:
Rijk God mocht zij mij malen,
Goed coren soud ick haer halen,
Wou sij mijn molenarinne sijn.

I know a miller’s daughter, charming as can be:
in all these parts there is none more beautiful.
Mighty God, if she would grind me,
I would bring her golden grain –
if only she would be my miller.
