Original text and translations

Italian.png Italian text In una verde piaggia
vidi Ninfe e Pastori
passar gli estivi ardori
fra dolci suoni
e leggi adretti balli,
e cinti il crin' di fiori vermigli e gialli
scoprire con festa e gioco
l'un' all'altro del cuor l'ardente fuoco,
indi cantare con modi alti e sonori:
"Viva la bella Dori!"

English.png English text (rough translation)
I saw in a green meadow
Nymphs and shepherds
walking in spring love fire
and dancing with sweet music.
And they bound themselves with wreaths
of blue and yellow flowers
and playing hide-and-seek.
One's heart burns for other
therefore singing with loud and high voice:
"Cheers for beautiful Doris!"
