Life

Born: c.1540

Died: c.1600

Biography Some claim 1611 as date of death. The Walloon poet Etienne de Walcourt mentioned "nostre Castro", which would make Jean de Castro a Belgian composer. The contemporary village of Chastres-Villeroux is near Namur.
