O notte madre de tutti pensieri,
perche non dir alla mia dolce diva,
onde mio mal deriva,
sapendo miei dolor e atroce pene,
come sol piango mia crudel partita,
et maledisco l'hora ch'abbandonai si char' e dolce bene,
qual con un sguardo soltene am' in vita,
et dir gli anchor tu poi che me ne pento,
del mio partir onde sto mi in tormento.
