Én szabadúlásom Ura Istene! éjjel nappal kiáltok teelőtted.
Jusson színed elé az én imádságom; hajtsd füledet könyörgésemre.
Mert lelkem eltelt roszakkal; és életem közelget a pokolhoz.
A sírgödörbe lemenőkhöz számláltatom; olyan lettem, mint a segítség nélkül való ember,
a halottak közé bocsátva, mint a sírokban alvó megsebesűltek, kikről többé meg nem emlékezel, és kik a te kezedből kiszakasztattak.
Mély verembe tettek engem, sötétségbe és a halál árnyékába.
Rám nehezűlt a te haragod, és rám hoztad minden hullámodat.
Eltávolítottad tőlem ismerőimet, utálatosságúl tettek engem magoknak. Kézbe adattam, és nincs menekvésem;
szemeim elbágyadnak az inség miatt; hozzád kiáltok, Uram, napestig, hozzád terjesztem ki kezeimet.
Vajjon a holtakon mívelsz-e csodákat? vagy az orvosok fognak föltámasztani, hogy magasztaljanak tégedet?
