Rejoice in Christ your King,
cast earthly fears away;
and let the joyful anthem ring:
The Lord is ris'n today!
The pow'rs of hell with vengeance
old man's servitude did win.
But God the Son in mercy bold
did free the world from sin.

Let alleluias fill the air,
let all the earth proclaim
the ever glorious Saviour
from whom redemption came;
whose majesty beyond compare
does cause us to exclaim:
Alleluia!

Rejoice, angelic hosts
in heav'nly chorus swell;
Archangels sound the joyful boast,
our triumph over hell.
Sing Virtues, Princedoms, cry the hymn,
sing Pow'rs, Dominions, Thrones.
Let Cherubim and Seraphim
reply in wondrous tones.

To Father, Son and Spirit blest,
to Godhead One and Three,
to Wisdom ever manifest
unending glory be;
whose majesty we do affirm
throughout eternity:
Alleluia!
