Biography

Richard Sampson was the organist of St. John's, WakefieldLink to the English Wikipedia article: as well as contributing several tunes to William Dechair Tattersall's Improved Psalmody (1794), he compiled a collection Ancient Church-Music, consisting of well-known psalm tunes arranged in three parts, which was published c1799.
