Latin text Part I Stetit Jesus in medio discipulorum suorum et dixit eis: Pax vobis. Part II Haec cum dixisset, flavit in eos et dixit eis: accipite Spiritum Sanctum quorum cumque remiseritis peccata, remittuntur eis quorum cumque retinueritis, retenta sunt.

English translation Part I Jesus stood in the midst of his disciples and said to them: Peace be with you. Part II And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whosoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosoever sins ye retain, they are retained.
