IPA transcription

The IPA transcription is very fine, but what is the problem with using the appropriate Unicode characters? If it's only a issue, then users should be warned to choose their font carefully, but it's the way to go if you want to display specialized input; so for example, I guess “bocatge” would transcribe as “boːkaːdʒe”.

You can use HTML entities as well, like "ʒ" for the ezh (ʒ) or "ː" for the length mark. -- Arthur, 2007-02-22 17:21 CET (16:21 UTC)
