Talk:Lucis creator (Michael Praetorius)

The first verse of the hymn makes no sense on its own; it is not sentence. Should one or more of the other verses be performed to make a prayer?

Ah, yes, that was a bit of an oversight on my part. In Praetorius's publication only the first verse is underlaid, in this setting; of course, he set subsequent verses to other settings. But I haven't had time to transcribe those, and now won't have access to a score to transcribe for a long while (probably). I guess my recommendation for performance would be to sing more verses to the same music. Hopefully I'll be able to upload some of Praetorius's settings of the other verses someday...
