Robert Lucas Pearsall has had the template added, with "Works yet to be added" misleadingly formatted as a subheader of "Musical settings of literary works" (these are compositions). What I'd like to find out is what will happen if a lyric by Pearsall is added to CPDL after I delete the obtrusive main header:  is the output a bare title or page name, without a header or explanation of what the list is? Is there a way to hide the header until needed? Richard Mix (talk) 07:38, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Small alteration

Would it be possible to make a small alteration to this template to limit the space after it to one (rather than two) empty lines? I know it's a small change but the template looks complicated so I'd rather not edit it! --Bobnotts talk 18:07, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Rob, the extra line break was removed from the template, but DPL seems to have a kind of bug that, when presenting lists in more than one column, introduces an extra line below the list. For one column lists the spacing has been reduced, though. —Carlos Email.gif 00:53, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, Carlos. --Bobnotts talk 08:48, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Alternate names?

Is there a way to accommodate alternate forms/spellings? For example if the redirect page Ludwig Uhland is put in the Template:Lyricist it's desirable to see the work page on the Johann Ludwig Uhland list. At present it seems that the only warning for a page editor would be a non-blue link if the redirect is deleted, and if other editors are aware enough not to have recreated it in the meantime.

We also have roughly equal numbers of create page cues for Salomon Franck & Salomo Franck. Richard Mix (talk) 22:11, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi Richard. We do have a template for that, it's called Alias. All you have to do is add the alternate spelling to the template's list. —Carlos (talk) 16:24, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
