Publication date and place: 1804 possibly in Greenwich, Connecticut? (Temperley).
Description: Temperley ([ The Hymn Tune Index]) says this was compiled by Solomon Howe, "a combined reissue of The Bird and The Lark (1790) and Billings' The Psalm-Singer's Amusement (1781), with additions." He ascribes several of the additions to William Billings.
