Welcome

Hi Brian, welcome back to CPDL! Great to see your recent contributions! Best regards, —Carlos Email.gif 17:09, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Adding new editions

Hi Brian. Thank you for all the new editions you're adding to CPDL! Just a quick request - would you mind checking the composer page when you add an additional edition of a work (ie. where there's already an edition of the work available at CPDL)? If yours is the second edition, the links to the files for the first edition need to be replaced with the italics text "x editions available". Also, we order editions in reverse chronological order on score pages so please place your new editions at the top of the list. Many thanks! --Bobnotts talk 17:55, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Congrats

Hi Brian,

Congratulations for the fast pace in which you've been adding new editions. Keep up the amazing work! All the best, —Carlos Email.gif 04:21, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

Text pages

Hi Brian, Just a friendly request to please always add works to the text pages when using the LinkText template. It's unfortunate that these pages are hand maintained, making it terribly easy for pieces to fall through the cracks! Richard Mix (talk) 23:53, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi Richard, I beg to differ. In fact, keeping text pages maintained by hand has been a matter of personal choice; there is an automated alternative by using template TextPageList, as you probably know. The template has been removed from various text pages, but a few still use it, as in Adeste fideles. Regards, —Carlos Email.gif 17:41, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Hi Carlos, if we really differ I'll withdraw my unfortunate wording, but the choice was between (hand)annotated and (machine)unannotated lists unless I've missed something new. Brian, sorry if my admonition is less gracious than the one I got! Richard Mix (talk) 01:09, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Relax, Richard, this is not necessary. I just wanted to let Brian know about the alternative methods, and that one day we may all agree on a viable automated system. All the best, —Carlos Email.gif 06:16, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Quam pulchri sunt

Hi Brian,

I stumbled on Quam pulchri sunt II (Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina) and merged that edition to Quam pulchri sunt gressus tui (Tomás Luis de Victoria), but I'm unsure whether the false attribution is a widespread one: in other words, is it worthwhile to make the Palestrina page into a redirect and add a MisattributedWork tag to the Victoria, or would it be better to just delete it? All the best, Richard Mix (talk) 21:43, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

I'm sure it was my flub back in 2003. Please delete; thanks. Brian Marble (talk) 00:39, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Problem after php upgrade

Hi Brian, the server was upgraded today and there were some tweakings to do. You probably tried to submit an edition without success. Could you please try to re-submit your edition? Hopefully everything will work now. Max a.k.a.--Choralia (talk) 16:44, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

Unus ex discipulis (Ingegneri)

Brian, I've removed the <nowiki>

Error.gif Possible error(s) identified. Please specify the score error(s) on the discussion page. </nonowiki> message from the works page - otherwise it will appear in the list of works with errors - and moved your "corrected" message to the discussion page.
