Bacciami vita mia (Giovanni de Macque)

Hi Claude!

I noticed that you moved this page because of the 'Basciami' spelling. I was a bit curious about it and discovered that it was a valid spelling at the time, and the title with 'sc' has more links than the other with 'cc'(modern Italian is in fact baciami, with just one 'c'). I'm inclined to return the title to its original form, would you mind it? Regards, —Carlos Email.gif 16:33, 28 May 2012 (CDT)

Hi, Carlos,
No problem, Carlos. My only reason to do so was the following : according page title spelling with first words of text at bottom of the same page (bacciami). The text is supposed to be the same in the score title (here basciami) *and* voices underlay (here six times bacciami) ;-) Claude 01:54, 29 May 2012 (CDT)
Yes, I also noticed this difference inside the pdf! ;) I'll do the move then. —Carlos Email.gif 10:13, 30 May 2012 (CDT)

Masses

Hi Claude, when you notice someone posting a separate movement from a mass, please check to see if there are other movements of the same mass available, in which case it's preferable to merge them all into a single page. All the best, —Carlos Email.gif 11:48, 22 June 2012 (CDT)

Ok, Carlos, sorry ;-) Claude 11:50, 22 June 2012 (CDT)
No problem :) Sorry too for having to revert some of your edits to perform the merger. —Carlos Email.gif 11:55, 22 June 2012 (CDT)

Um Olhar

Hi Claude! It was a good idea to merge the two choral editions of Um Olhar by Jorge Moreira, but I was thinking that the Soprano solo version deserves a separate page, that's why I restored it. A similar situation exists with Adrian Cuello's Panis angelicus. I hope you don't mind. Cordialement, —Carlos Email.gif 10:29, 31 July 2012 (CDT)

It's Ok, Carlos, please proceed. Thanks. Claude 10:31, 31 July 2012 (CDT)

DefaultSort

Hi Claude, I noticed that you started adding a couple of sort keys. Perhaps you might like to use a template I've just created for this very purpose, WorkSorter. It strips numerals and articles from the initial position of the title. I've included articles from most of the Western languages (English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, so far). Please give it a look and say what you think. Cordialement, —Carlos Email.gif 13:36, 16 August 2012 (CDT)

Oops, I forgot to add L' to the list of French articles, let me see how can I do it. —Carlos Email.gif 14:04, 16 August 2012 (CDT)
It works for almost all cases. Thanks, Carlos. But not for one other, see remaining La meunière de Vernon: http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:French_texts&from=L Claude (talk) 14:10, 16 August 2012 (CDT)
I've just added L' and Italian Un', in my tests it's working fine, but the categories seem to be slow to update... —Carlos Email.gif 14:24, 16 August 2012 (CDT)
I found an issue related to PAGENAME returning the apostrophe as an encoded character and had to change the template a bit. Only the categories related to Texts and Translations seem to be wrong now, all others are sorting correctly, maybe it's a question of time for them to update. —Carlos Email.gif 16:02, 16 August 2012 (CDT)

Hi again, Claude! Should we add defaultsort in works starting with an indefinite article? (A/An, Un/Ung/Une, Uno/Una etc.) I don't know what is the standard in these cases, what do you think? —Carlos Email.gif 12:10, 17 August 2012 (CDT)

Hi, Carlos. I'm pretty sure for French (it's my job): Le, La, Les, (and L', as you saw) Un, Une, Des (when it's indefinite plural) must be rejected. I think it's the same in other languages. When I ask somewhere in the forums, for English and other languages, Chuck wrote that he wouldn't search 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik' (search the string across forums) under other word than 'Eine'. But it's not a choral work! ;-) Claude (talk) 12:24, 17 August 2012 (CDT)
Perhaps we should discuss it further with the others and see what they think. But there's no need to revert your edits, this can be changed later inside the template if necessary. —Carlos Email.gif 13:27, 17 August 2012 (CDT)

LnkTxt Template

Hi Claude, I have added {{LnkTxt|In dulci jubilo|Silcher, Friedrich}} to the newly created page In dulci jubilo (Friedrich Silcher) but on In dulci jubilo the name of Friedrich Silcher does not show up. Is this a database delay or some finger-trouble from my side. Curious -- KlausFoehl (talk) 11:28, 5 September 2012 (CDT)
