Attributed to Pope Innocent III, (1160 or 1161 -1216) or Stephen Langton, Archibishop of Canterbury (c. 1150 - 1228), but also (with fewer adherents and less modern credibility) to Robert King of France (996-1031), Notcker (840-912), and/or Ermanno Contratto ( 1054).
