I am a white orchid,
Take me and give me to her,
Give it to her, give it to her.
The people are as many as
the sand on the sea-shore .
But give me only to her,
Give me to her, press me home.
Don't press me to her temples,
Press me close to her heart.
Flowers are in her image,
who is herself a flower.
For this I was born,
To delight the fair maid.
(Paraphrased)
English text
I am a white orchid,
May someone pick the flower and give it to her,
give it to her, give it to her.
There’re hundreds of thousands of people there
Just like the Sand of the Ganges
I only wish to give it to her,
Give it to her, give it to her to arrange¹.
Don't put into her hair².
Put the flowers by the side of the breast.
The flowers looks like her
She looks like the flower too
It’s the way she was born³.
It’s not bad at all.
(Literal translation by 杨方
¹ as in flower arranging
² lit. by the sideburns
³ lit. it's hard wired )
