Composer?

"Scottish Psalter" is being used as a composer name, which is incorrect, in my opinion. The works listed here should be renamed as (Anonymous), if the composer is unknown. —Carlos (talk) Email.gif 15:39, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

I agree. I was just trying to get the Anonymous page a bit less complicated. The introduction to that page did encourage me to find other solutions, so I created Scottish Psalter of 1635 in Category:Music publications. I will mark this page for deletion, and change the composer of these works to Anonymous. By the way, the Anonymous pages still have a lot of score links on them, do you want me to put score icons on new works on these pages? Thanks! Barry, Bcjohnston523 (talk) 19:59, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi Barry! I totally agree with you that the Anonymous page is somewhat confusing, with so many different styles and eras all mixed together, but unfortunately that's what we have at the moment. Music publications pages like this one help a lot in putting together many of these anonymous works. Thanks for all your work in this regard!
With respect to score icons on composers pages, they are gradually being phased out, so, don't worry about adding them. Kind regards, —Carlos (talk) Email.gif 13:55, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
