English text
Let every mortal ear attend,
And every heart rejoice;
The trumpet of the gospel sounds
With an inviting voice.
(Isaac Watts' Hymn 7, Book 1)
Hark! Hark! Hear the invitation.
(Billings)
Ho, every one that thirsteth,
Come ye to the waters,
And he that hath no money,
Come, buy and eat,
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
For wherefore do you spend your money
For that which is not bread,
And your labor for that which satisfieth not?
Ho, every one that thirsteth,
Come ye to the waters,
And whosoever will, let him come
And take of the waters of life freely.
(Adapted from Isaiah 55:1-2)
Even so, come, Lord Jesus,
Come quickly.
(Revelation 22:20)
