Description: A 5 part canzone from the composer's "il primo libro delle canzoni a cinque voci", 1575. The work was subsequently arranged by Thomas Morley for an instrumental consort. There is also an English setting of the madrigal, When all alone my bony loue, in "The first set of Italian madrigals Englished", 1590, with lyrics by Thomas Watson.
