Biography
George Frederick Kiallmark was born in Islington, London, England. His father was the well-known violinist and composer George Kiallmark (1781–1835). He was educated at Margate and received musical instruction from his father. At age 14, he assisted his father in teaching music. At 16, he went to study in Rouen and Paris. He returned to England and was known as an outstanding pianist, and opened an academy for the study of the piano at his residence. The Musical Times notes his appearances as a conductor and performances of his new glees and madrigals in the 1850s. Most of his compositions were for the piano.
