Marc Charles Dupuis
Life
Born: 13 November 1953, Rotterdam, the Netherlands
Biography While studying Slavic Languages and English at Leiden University, Marc Dupuis started playing jazz in a quartet and singing in a mixed student choir. He obtained a PhD in phonetics. In Marc's world speech and music have always been very closely related. During a ten year period he lived and worked in Groningen, where he played keyboard in a rock band. In the early nineties of the last century Marc started conducting mixed choirs. Over the years he has given numerous concerts. Most of the time classical music was performed but Marc also conducted a pop choir in Amsterdam for some time. In 2007 Marc conducted a scratch version of Bach's St Matthew Passion. In 2015 he performed Rakhmaninoff's Vespers in The Hague and Amsterdam.
