Biography

Richard E. De Reef (DeReif) was born in Ohio. He was an active musician in Philadelphia and New York City, as pianist, organist, choirmaster, and composer. He held positions at Trinity Church, Mt. Vernon, NY; Church of the Epiphany, Brooklyn; and St. Thomas’ Church, Brooklyn. His compositions include a number of anthems, carols, hymns, songs, and keyboard pieces.
