Italian text Fammi pur guerr[a], Amor, quanto tu vòi, ché gl'occhi di costei pace mi danno. Come veder tu puoi che stimo poco de' tuoi lacc'il danno. Occhi benigni il cui valor eccede ogn'altro vivo raggio! Vivete lieti, sì! Di me curate, lumi santi e divini la cui alta beltade mi mostra su del ciel qual sia'l viaggio. Voi havete mercede così di me nel mio intenso ardore che poco curo le fiamme d'Amore.

English translation Wage war onto me as much as you want, Love— peace comes unto me from her eyes. As you can see, I don't fear much your entrapments.
