Ick ghinck gister avent so heymelyck eenen ganck,
Al voer myns liefkens duere die ick ghesloten vant.
Ick clopte so lyselyc aen den rinck:
Stant op myn alder liefste, stant op en laet my in.
English translation
Last night I stole along to my love's door
But found it closed.
Softly then I knocked:
Arise my love, arise and let me in.
Translator's note: 'Rinck' (literally 'ring') probably refers to a door-knocker, but is mainly there for the rhyme in my opinion.
