German text
Im Himmelreich ein Haus steht,
dahin ein goldner Weg geht,
die Säulen die sind Marmelstein,
da legte unser Gott hinein
die edelsten Gesteine.
Viel Engel gehn im Haus still,
ihr Sang nur Gottes Lob will,
Saalwächter sind die Seraphim,
am Eingang stehn zwei Cherubim,
die hüten fromm die Pforten.
In dieses Haus geht Niemand ein,
der nicht von allen Sünden reine.
