Cantiam dunque pastori,
Viva la bella Dori.
English translation
Whilst round the shade
The wandering flocks are grazing,
and among these branches
sport and play a thousand wanton birds,
who can there be who does not rejoice
and long to honor such a dear, happy and joyful day?
The day when down to us from paradise came
Dori, daughter of the Sea and the glory of the Adriatic,
Dori who has in her fair countenance
the torch and bow wherein is the armor of Cupid.
Therefore, shepherds, let us sing:
“Long live fair Dori!”.
Daarom, herders, laten we zingen:
"Leve de schone Dori!"
