Uns ist ein Kindlein heut geborn
von einer Jungfrau auserkorn,
des freuen sich die Engelein,
sollten wir Menschen mit fröhlich sein.
Chorus
Gott dem Herrn sei Lob bereit von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.
Third Verse
Damit er uns erlöst vom Tod
und wieder bracht zu Gnad bei Gott
und heilt der giftgen Schlange Biß,
den wir bekommen im Paradies.
Fourth Verse
Drum preiset dieses Kindelein
mit allen heilgen Engelein,
das freundlich aus sein Windelein
uns lachet an im Krippelein.
