mieulx vault mes maulx
tout a par moy porter
car tel plaindz mon mal et ma grievance
qui bien ne peult mais ne veult conforter
en me plaindant a luy
sa joie advance

Cela ne sert à rien de me plaindre
ni de me déconforter.
Mieux valent mes maux que je dois porter
car plaindre mon mal et ma souffrance
peuvent mais ne veulent pas me réconforter.
En me plaignant à lui,
sa joie augmenterait.

English translation

Complaining leads to naught
and offers me no solace.
My pains themselves are of better use to me
since wasting words on my pain and suffering
might, but refuses to comfort me.
And by complaining to him
he would only feel better.
