Latin text 3  Pulchra es amica mea, suavis et decora sicut Jerusalem, terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinata. 4a  Averte oculos tuos a me quia ipsi me avolare fecerunt. Dutch translation 3  Je bent mooi, m'n lief, zacht en bekoorlijk als Jeruzalem, ontzagwekkend als een heir in slagorde. 4a  Wend je ogen van me af, want ze doen me wegvluchten. Dutch translation [Hij:] Je bent mooi, mijn vriendin, zacht en bekoorlijk als Jeruzalem, ontzagwekkend als een leger in slagorde. Wend je ogen van me af, want ze jagen mij op de vlucht. English translation 3  Thou art beautiful, O my love, sweet and comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army set in array. 4a  Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have made me flee away.
